Angela's Alfredo Sauce
Sauce for one good sized batch of pasta (5-7 people)
For years we bought Alfredo sauce at a pasta shop. Finally Bill searched the web
and synthesized several recipes into one. Our recipe includes garlic and green
peppercorns. The garlic is a must, but you can omit the peppercorns if you wish.
-
¼ cup
unsalted butter
-
1 cup
whipping cream
-
1 large clove
garlic
-
¼ cup
Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
-
1 tablespoon
green peppercorns
[Optional]
Directions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet.
- When the butter foams, add the cream.
- Crush the garlic (a garlic press is best) and add it. Also add the peppercorns, if you
are using them.
- Simmer over medium heat about 2 minutes until slightly thickened
- Add the Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted
- Serve over fresh pasta. Thats it!
