Angela's Alfredo Sauce

Sauce for one good sized batch of pasta (5-7 people)

For years we bought Alfredo sauce at a pasta shop. Finally Bill searched the web and synthesized several recipes into one. Our recipe includes garlic and green peppercorns. The garlic is a must, but you can omit the peppercorns if you wish.

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet.
  2. When the butter foams, add the cream.
  3. Crush the garlic (a garlic press is best) and add it. Also add the peppercorns, if you are using them.
  4. Simmer over medium heat about 2 minutes until slightly thickened
  5. Add the Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted
  6. Serve over fresh pasta. Thats it!
